Dzanc Splendor

  • Greenlight Bookstore 686 Fulton St Brooklyn, NY, 11217 United States (map)

Two upstart indie presses bring their talented authors to Greenlight for an evening of fiction, nonfiction and celebration.

Curbside is the publisher of the Brian Costello novel Losing in Gainesville, set in mid-1990s Florida, which hilariously explores what failure means in a culture where everyone is supposed to win, as well as debut author Ryan Kenealy’s short story collection Animals in Peril, which explores our relationships with animals, other people, and ourselves.

Nonprofit press Dzanc Books was created in 2006 to advance great writing and promote literary readership; they publish literary fiction, support several editorially-independent imprints and literary journals, and provide low-cost writing instruction to beginning and emerging writers.

Dzanc author Kim Church is the author of the novel Byrd, set in North Carolina, the story of an independent single woman who gives birth to a son and surrenders him for adoption without telling his father.
