James Tadd Adcox (DOES NOT LOVE, Curbside Splendor Publishing 2014) and Susan Hope Lanier (THE GAME WE PLAY, Curbside Splendor Publishing 2014) join Whitney Holmes and Mike Lala for a reading that will include surveillance, pharmaceuticals, interrogation, self-interrogation, disappearances, and possibly a band called "Fuck Mullet."

James Tadd Adcox's debut novel is DOES NOT LOVE, a domestic novel about domestic terrorism, from Curbside Splendor Press. His work has appeared in PANK, Mid-American Review, TriQuarterly, and the Collagist, among other places. He lives in Chicago.

Susan Hope Lanier earned an MFA in creative writing from Columbia College in 2012 and currently lives, writes, and photographs in Chicago. THE GAME WE PLAY is her first book.

S. Whitney Holmes serves as executive director/editor for Switchback Books. Her first book of poetry, Room Where I Get What I Want, is forthcoming from Black Ocean in 2015 and her chapbook, Method of Loci, is available from dancing girl press. Her poems have appeared in Gulf Coast, Puerto del Sol, The Cincinnati Review and others. She lives in Brooklyn.

Mike Lala is the author of two chapbooks, [fire!] ([sic] Press, 2011) & Under the Westward Night (Knickerbocker Circus, 2010). His work is published or forthcoming in Boston Review, Fence, The Brooklyn Rail, Colorado Review, Artifice, The Awl, VOLT, RHINO: The Poetry Forum, DIAGRAM, Paperbag, PANK, Everyday Genius, and the PEN Poetry Series.
