Irvine Welsh Reads from THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD

Irvine Welsh, author of TRAINSPOTTING, reads a passage from THE OLD NEIGHBORHOOD, a Novel by Bill Hillmann, in the basement of Chicago's notorious EMPTY BOTTLE. This passage is a letter to Joe, the main character of the book, from his older brother Pat (Pistol Pat).

Moments before our Words + Music event on April 10th, we filmed Irvine Welsh reading from The Old Neighborhood in the basement of the Empty Bottle. This excerpt is the letter the protagonist, Joe Walsh, receives from his older brother, Pistol Pat, who wrote him from prison.
