It's been a wild year for us at Curbside Splendor. Shall we review? We published 20 books. We hosted two Pop Up Book Fairs, two Words + Music shows, the Pitchfork Book Fort, the Printer's Row Small Press Tent, seven installments of the Marrow, an incredible holiday party with ELEVEN Chicago authors, and numerous release parties and readings. Our authors have traveled to New York and Seattle and everywhere in between. We launched a new website and catalog. We edited and edited and edited some more. We sold books at book fairs, in the rain, beneath the July sun, and inside a yuppy holiday market next to a woman selling ceramic pendants. We folded press releases and stuffed envelopes and packed boxes and fought with packing tape. We became dear friends (enemies?) of the United States Postal Service. We got a little tipsy at readings and shouted a little too loudly about the writers we love. We debated heatedly about trim sizes and stock weight and cover finishes. We made some incredible stuff.
