Next week, a few of our authors will be reading & workshopping with the University of Chicago in Hyde Park!
On Thursday, January 15, James Tadd Adcox, Megan Stielstra, Ben Tanzer, and Dasha Kelly will read from their recent & upcoming Curbside releases in the Midway Studios Room on campus.
And on Saturday, January 17, James Tadd Adcox and Megan Stielstra will each host a mid-day workshop. Tadd's workshop, titled "Get In & Get Out Quick” will focus on flash fiction. By the end of the hour, everyone will have written at least one story. After lunch, Megan will spend time discussing how telling our stories aloud can intersect, inform, and inspire the personal essay. The goal is to get to the heart of the story you need to tell, so get ready to write and examine literary craft in new ways.
